09-08-2025It is okay for draining water from the tank. Drains fairly slow. It isn't strong enough to pull heavier debris from the bottom of the tank, it just pulls the water. I need something with more suction. If you want something to drain water for a small tank then this will be fine. If you have a large tank you'll be sitting around a long time to drain enough for even a water change.

09-08-2025Works perfectly. This was super simple to use, and made cleaning the turtle enclosure quick and easy. The suction was surprisingly strong, pulling the clear glass pebbles (marble size) up and sucking the yuck away and into the bucket. The grate prevented any rocks from going up the tube. I was surprised how little water was left when it finally lost the siphon. Overall, it cut the tank cleaning time by more than 50%. I am so happy I decided to get this tool
