04-08-2025I use these to keep my Velvet Jewelry Displays looking fresh. In this generous set you will have a use for each shape and size. I do have to make sure one is not where my cat can get to it. She adores her boar bristle brush. These are not that stiff, like the boars hair. The count of hairs per inch is very high and set well into the premium wood. The varnish may wear in a few years, but could be freshened easily. If you do use these for shoes remember to never change the color of the polish being used on a brush. If you start a brush with Black, always use black on that brush. You could mark the backs with a B for black, or a C for clear. These are made well enough you could probably wash them in soapy water to remove mud or debris, then air dry standing up at a slight angle like in their photo. I have not seen this top quality since Fuller Brush went out of business.

04-08-2025Not certain what happened to the horses they used to make these brushes, but these brushes are very well made and at a really great price point. Real horse hair brushes do a much better job than any synthetic fiber brushes. I used these immediately after delivery and they provided a great shine on several leather goods we have (shoes, boots, leather belt, and leather sheaths for knives). Hairs didn't "fall-out" of the brushes, and are a good size to use when polishing leather goods. Very pleased with purchase.
