09-08-2025A&W root beer for me brings back fond memories of going to the local A&W stand as a kid 40 years ago, not before they tore it down and built a McDonalds. Soft drinks like this are like a window into the past and I'll never forget the taste of a cold A&W and a hot dog and fries on a Saturday night.That said, as root beers go, it's not a super strong root flavor, but it is very sweet. If I remember correctly, sweeter than other brands I can think of like Mug and not as strong as Barq's.
