09-08-2025Happy with this one. I bought another that just doesn't have the power I need for a 25 gallon water lily tub. I just want enough turbulence to keep the mosquitoes from laying eggs in there. This little pump lets me run two lines with good turbulence. Not wimpy. Quiet.

09-08-2025Setup was quite easy, and it is working well. I like the valves to adjust the air flow through each tube. Pump puts out very little noise, I can sleep with it running. There was plenty of tubing for my 10-gallon tank. Very good.

However, unfortunately, the product itself did not meet my expectations. Despite this, I was amazed by the great service provided by the seller. Despite its promises of being whisper-quiet and adjustable, this pump falls short in several key areas.Firstly, let's talk about the noise level. Far from being "whisper" quiet, this pump emits a constant, annoying hum that's impossible to ignore. It's like having a mini vacuum cleaner running in the room at all times, disrupting the peace and tranquility of my home.The adjustable feature is also lacking. Despite claiming to be adjustable, there's little difference between the lowest and highest settings. It's like turning a knob that's not connected to anything—it does nothing to change the airflow.The build quality is another issue. The plastic housing feels cheap and flimsy, and the pump started making strange rattling noises after just a few days of use. It's like it's falling apart from the inside out.To make matters worse, the pump doesn't provide adequate aeration for my aquarium. The airflow is weak and uneven, leaving some areas of the tank stagnant while others are overly turbulent. It's like trying to oxygenate my tank with a straw instead of a proper pump.Overall, I wouldn't recommend the HITOP Dual Outlet Aquarium Electric Air Pump to anyone serious about maintaining a healthy aquarium. It's noisy, ineffective, and poorly made. Save yourself the frustration and invest in a better-quality pump from a reputable brand.
