08-08-2025Arrived on time. Works well. Has 2 USB ports an audio video port and a phone port. Transfer of information from old Laptop was easy. I had a notebook, will never buy one in the future.

08-08-2025I made sure to use this computer for a month before giving a review because this was a BIG switch for me. (The past 10+ yrs I have used a MacBookPro.) I use this laptop primarily for internet browsing & shopping, music, movies when traveling, preparing & storing homeschooling documents, and storing pictures with some minor editing. I am on it maybe an average of 1-3 hours a day. The battery lasts me 2-4 days, my guess is approximately 10 hours of use.At first the size of this HP was a bit overwhelming, coming from an 11.5 inch screen to this 15.6 inch screen. In a few days I discovered the ways you can split the screen and have programs open side by side and now I LOVE the larger screen. It opens and closes smoothly and feels secure when carrying the laptop around with two hands. But if I lift it with one hand when the laptop is open, it bends a bit. If the laptop is closed then it feels secure to move around one handed.Two negative points for me is that the keyboard does not light up, and the keys are very loud. They should have made the keyboard silent. The noisy clacking stands out as very obnoxious on a quiet early morning when I’m trying to get work done. Aside from the noise, there are easy to use function buttons. A larger screen means a full keyboard with a number pad. There are brightness and volume/mute have buttons, mic on/mute, an emoj/gif, and pause button all within easy reach on the top row. On the space bar row is an “AI Co-pilot” with features I have not tried yet, and a “Window” button that you can hit and then search for what app you want to open. The touch pad seemed in an odd place to me, it is positioned over an inch to the right from the center of the laptop and an inch to the left from the center of the space bar. It has proved to be well positioned, as I have not ever accidently bumped it while typing.This HP is a touch screen, this is my first time using a touch screen. Most of the time I forget about it, but I find it comes in handy when I am selecting photos and files either to delete or to move. I did notice that I can go into settings and turn off the touch screen feature.The speakers on this can get loud. It is a more tinny sound, almost no bass, but it is what I expected out of a laptop. It is very simple to connect Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and there is a Cast option as well.The fan on this laptop must be very quiet, I have not noticed it running. The grip strips on the bottom are low profile and grip well.The last negative for me, and the hardest to get used to, is the glare of the screen combined with the settings of the color scheme. I had to go in and adjust the color setting multiple times, because everything looked very washed out. Even after fixing the color as much as I can, the screen is still very glaring. It looks better at night/dark, but if there is a light on or sunlight, then whites and darks can get hard to distinguish, this affects while watching movies or browsing.I hope this review was helpful!*Edit* After a little bit more use, I noticed more issues. The bottom cover was starting to pop loose, and I had to snap it back in. And second, there is already a tiny dent and a scratch on one of the corners. It has not been mishandled, just moved a lot from one room & desk to another. This HP is made of material that is easily dented and scratched, and will look awful in just a few years (if it makes it that long.)
