09-08-2025I’m glad I got this potato masher. Normally I would just put stuff in the food processor, which is a pain to clean. This masher is really sturdy and good quality. I saw a couple cheaper ones, but this one is worth the extra couple bucks. I’m looking forward to making my life faster & easier with this. So far I’ve just made mashed potatoes. I could mash up some chick peas, or green peas, yams, bananas, avocado, or tomatoes. Those will all be interesting toppings for toast. I could mash up some cooked lentils and make a lentil loaf. I could mash up berries and mix them with maple syrup, for a pancake topping. So much easier than cleaning the food processor :)

09-08-2025Every cook needs a masher. This utensil is not just for potatoes. We use ours to mash bananas when baking bread, for strawberries (think shortcake) and berries for canning. It is a well made piece with a comfortable grip on top that makes it easy to use. It’s also an implement that kids can use in the kitchen. It has no sharp edges, so take out the play dough and let the kids play while you cook. 5 stars !!
