08-08-2025Earlier this year, I dropped my much-loved Sandisk off a bridge. No worries... until I discovered Sandisk was no more. It seems the only option was AGPTEK. What a HORROR. I saved up and chanced a more expensive player. Perfection! Perhaps those players in the $100s+ range are better, but for amazing sound (depending on your headphones/ earbuds), the equalizer truly works, ease of uploading songs (just over 10 minutes while on AGPTEK over six hours!), and plays the songs in order. No tears, no stress.Yes, it is heavier than the pocket AGPTEKs. For me, excellent sound that reaches my heart is worth a few more ounces. No stress in adding music. Worth every cent. Handles cycling, ferry rides (I am keeping away from that bridge!), and hikes. Love the Mp3 player.

08-08-2025Pros:+CLICKWHEEL+Overall construction feel is good+Screen size and brightness are fine+Handles all the file formats exactly as described+Sounds solid with a wide range of headphones, I'm using Sennheiser PX100-II for daily walking and exercise but have tested with Samson SR-850's and Sennheiser HD6XX's (basically a 650) and 320kb mp3's. All sound great!+Easy and quick to use file view+Quick boot up and menu browse+Easy to connect to windows and transfer files+SD Micro slot+Buttons got easy to get used to and feel for+Can get pretty loud if you want+Listed battery time of ~20hr seems legit+Fits well in most pocketsCons:-H E A V Y, feels like a brick in your pocket! Flops around everywhere in loose fitting clothes!!-Clickwheel is a tad janky and a little too smooth so my fingers slide over it frequently-Price feels high for what you get, $40-50 seems like a more reasonable price IMO-Battery life should be better for the weight IMO, I've had much lighter MP3 players with ~60hr run time-Randomly locks up when connecting BT headphones to it, I don't care much since I use corded headphones but I know lots prefer wireless only so I feel like this is a big conOther thoughts:*Cloth tape works great to cut into small circles to put on the clickwheel to make it non-slippy*SD Micro card it comes with is a nice thought but mine failed fast randomly so don't trust it*I'm glad a non-insanely priced MP3 player with a OK clickwheel finally came on market, still should be better for this price, even cheap $5 computer mice have clickwheels that work better!! My $50 computer mouses' clickwheel feels M I L E S better than this thing!

08-08-2025I purchased this player specifically because it does NOT have more modern features like touch screen and wifi and bluetooth. Every time I use my phone for stuff like this it seems like you touch it the wrong way and it just annoys me being so touch sensitive ugghhh...I just wanted a simple player with a good interface that is intuitive to load all my folders of albums. I have probably close to the max of 256gb of music on my computer, recorded vinyl records and ripped CD's and I wanted to get better sound than a phone. There are phones that have good sound but not for this price. I hook this up to an Aomais bluetooth speaker with a stereo cable in, and also bring it into the car the same way, through the AUX port. There is nothing wrong with a solid player, and it feels solidly made, that is like a walkman I use to have. The interface is intuitive and pretty simple, and I have nothing bad to say about it. Are there other players that cost more and have better sound? Sure, but the difference isn't much. The thing is, standards are up these days and what you can get at this price point is great. You want the highest quality, which is only marginally better? You'll pay way more for that. And besides that, most sound can be EQ'd so for clear reproduction of whatever it is you ripped into digital, this will be perfectly fine. Small enough for your pocket, even though it has some weight, and it won't just go do whatever it wants if you touch it the wrong way. No stupid android to deal with or bluetooth connectivity problems etc etc...Just fun listening. It comes with a 64gb card, and that holds a ton even with all my files being flac. If I lost this tomorrow I'd get another one right away, I'm not going to pay 500 for something that has features I don't need or want. Simple is good, and it also has a line level out for when I get my stereo receiver set up to input this into. The ONLY negative here for this, is that they haven't upgraded the micro USB to a USB C which is a newer standard so hopefully they'll upgrade that at some point and maybe a higher capacity transfer/charge cable but you can always pull the card out and use a faster reader and reinstall the card. Thanx Mechen!
