09-08-2025We bought the Melissa & Doug Poke-a-Dot: Old MacDonald’s Farm book for our 16-month-old, and it has been a total hit! The vibrant illustrations and sturdy pages immediately caught their attention, but the real magic is in those poppable buttons.Our little one is absolutely obsessed with poking the dots—there’s something so satisfying about the “pop” sound that keeps them engaged for ages. It’s not just fun; it’s also great for building their fine motor skills. We love watching him explore the pages while we are singing along to “Old MacDonald.”The book is well-made, with thick pages that hold up to enthusiastic (and sometimes rough) little hands. It’s also the perfect size for tiny fingers to turn the pages and pop the buttons with ease. As parents, we appreciate how portable it is and how much value there is in a single book!If you’re looking for a toy that’s both entertaining and educational, this book is a must-have. Our toddler can’t get enough of it, and honestly, neither can we. Highly recommend for little ones who love hands-on play!

09-08-2025The media could not be loaded. Giving this item a 4/5 because some of the inner board pages have detached from the spine, I purchased this in November of 2024. It is a heavy book and we use it frequently so maybe that’s on us.Other than that this is a fantastics purchase and I would still buy again. Such a fun and educational book. We’ve used this for counting numbers, naming animals and the sounds they make, and identifying objects within each page. Got this for my son right after he turned one and it has been a huge hit ever since.
