09-08-2025We got this for a daughter for her birthday...her eyes lit up like a Christmas tree when she saw it. What a great present it was! Or so we thought. Not only does it have ZERO memory and will not work unless you have an expansion card, but the card that is SHOWN in the images above (a typical SD card), isn't the one that actually works. We know because we tried to use it. Nope. Damn near ruined the card we tried to use.Why use an image of an SD card that does not work? On top of that, the circular navigation on front is just absurdly designed. You don't press the center to "select" something...that took a while to figure out. The instructions are virtually worthless and it uses a charging cord that was typical...circa 2000. Not even a micro USB cord, it was the thicker kind that was in use before that.Lesson learned. Try to save money and you'll regret it. Just bite the bullet and buy one that has good reviews and actually comes with built-in memory. Or, one that actually uses a real normal SD card and not something that was so out of date that unless you look for one off eBay you'll never find it new.In short: AVOID THIS mp3 player at ALL COSTS. An utterly enormous waste of money.

09-08-2025So, there are good and bad things on this for me.The good:The battery life on this barely budged after running a couple of albums worth of tracks on shuffle repeat for 8 hours. I got this for work and was really needing it to run for up to 8 hours, so this passed with flying colors.The bad:The playback UI of this thing is horrible. Granted I don't need this for the visuals, if you were someone wanting visuals during playback, this is probably not what you want. The other issue is that I had to format the SD card (aka Transflash) 3 times before it finally decided to be readable to my computer and the device. Once it was readable, I was able to store audio files on there for playback. After some more time using this, it appears that the device is real fidgety reading my SD card and I have used multiple.The untested:I don't need this for the mic, so I have not tested but supposedly has a built-in mic to record. The controls are not super easy to navigate. In some spots, you can use all 4 directional pads, whereas in other parts you have to use left and right and it takes a little to get used to. I did not test the picture, video, or radio aspects of the playerOverall:I'm happy with using this for what I need. I knew with the pricepoint that it would probably not do much over my expectations.
