08-08-2025I decided to try using a speaker instead of headphones on my solo rides on gravel trails. This product came in nice packaging. The mounting bracket is made from a sturdy plastic and the opening to slide it onto the bike is very narrow. I worried that I would break it by opening it to ~1 inch so I put it into boiling water first. It became more flexible and I slid it onto the stem so I’d still have room for my hands on the bars. The speaker sounds nice and stayed put for my first ride. But if I wanted to take the whole thing off the bike-including the mount- it would be unnecessarily difficult. I would have preferred if the mount used a strong rubber strap or came in two pieces.
