07-08-2025We love our balance bike! In this picture her little toes just barely reach the ground, but she loves getting on it and scooting around the house! She needs help getting on, but once she's on, she takes off!! We got it for her when she was 7 months old because she was really wanting to get around. But it wasn't until her feet could touch the ground that she really got moving on it. So I would say 9 months old, depending on how long your child's legs are, would be the right age to start with the balance bike. Definitely would be a great first birthday present. It's super easy for them to get the hang of. We could have bought the pink one but we really liked the neutrality of the tan one in case we have a boy later. It's definitely a quality piece that we will be storing for future children and not handing off when she outgrows! I got it during prime days, so it was on sale but even if it wasn't it's worth the price.
