09-08-2025I’m on the fence (duh, three stars). It absolutely conditions hair. When I use it my hair feels so fabulous in the shower that I don’t feel the need to use conditioner. Some of the reviews say it smells weird, almost like cigarettes. The first time I used it I didn’t really sense it, but after that, it was cigarettes smoke every single time! I assume that is due to the herbs used in the ingredients, which can be very pungent smelling. Regardless, it’s a total turn off. So I use conditioner, even if I don’t need to, just to get rid of the scent.The other drawback is that you can feel the buildup that it is leaving. Make sure you have a back up clarifying shampoo to remove it for your next wash. I usually usually go three days between shampooing, but when I use this, the buildup is so much that I have to wash it the next day. That being said, it’s great if your hair is really damaged but I would Never use it two shampoo days in a row.
