09-08-2025An acrylic tube in 3 sections to adjust length from top hopper to bottom feed tray. Best feature that beats the glass feeding tube and separate feed tray that suction cups to the glass. That unit stuck out too high above the tank top. This unit simply lifts out all in one to empty out old food and can be adjusted so the food hopper is very close to tank top level.No need for long tweezers or hands in the tank to get a detached food tray out. I was able to use the full 3 secton tube for my 20 gallon and easily cut the 3rd tube in half with a Roto/Multitool to use 2.5 tubes for my 15 gallon. There's a small angled 'fence' protector that goes in the bottom of the tube to stop fish from swimming up the tube. Don't lose it! (I bought 2 of these units and lost one of the 'fences"; my fault). The fish just love it! They swarmed over the food tray. In fact my two bottom feeders seem to like to rest in the food tray and on top of each other! Really good design that stops old food contamination of the substrate plus its great to see the guys all gather around it at feeding time. Fun to watch!

09-08-2025The media could not be loaded. This feeder has been a game changer for me. I have a few10 gallon tanks. Some salt water, some freshwater. My filters tend to get dirty very quickly because my tank filters will suck up a lot of the food before the fish finish eating it. Some of the food gets sucked into the small skimmer in my guppy tank and my babies sometimes follow the food in and get trapped inside. I decided to purchase this feeder for one of my fresh water tanks to see if it would solve my problem. I’m happy to say that it was a major success. I have been using it for over two months now and I’m so pleased with it. It is made of clear plastic, so it does not block the light or stand out and distract from the beauty of the tank. The height is adjustable and the bowl is a nice size and shape. (My fish like to play in the bowl as they eat.) All you do is drop your fish flakes, pellets, or even algae tablets down the tube. My algae eater loves to eat from the bowl. It also has a floating guard attached to wrangle your floating pellets. This is perfect for me because it keeps the pellets from floating away and into the skimmer. The fish swim right up under it and eat. The guard is attached by an arm that lets it float up and down as the water level changes. I’m so satisfied with this item that, I will be purchasing one for each of my other tanks in the near future.
