07-08-2025The adjustable straps on top make it very convenient order these for my mother who had hip surgery recently and she can put them on with very little help. We bought a size 9, even though she wears 8 1/2 and her big toe I want it is just about to reach the edge. The big toe on the other foot is about a half an inch short of the edge of the front of the shoe this is so you can accurately figure out what size to get if your relative or you wear an 8 1/2 and you get an eight it might be a tad small because these being tightened up, I would tend to go the size up from the half size
