This is a great and fun game for building problem solving skills. Cards increase in difficulty to continue to challenge my kid as he gets better at each level. Easy to store and travel as an alternative to phones or video games on trips or to pass the time at home. This is a logic puzzle game and if your child struggles with or is not inclined to like those kind of games or is too young to figure them out, this game could become frustrating. If they like them and are good at logic puzzles, then they will love this at any age and it will develop another aspect of their mental skills.

Little Red Riding Hood is the sequel to last year's awesome Three Little Piggies. Just like that puzzle Little Red Riding Hood comes with a nifty graphic novel style story book to accompany the game. The object of the puzzle is to connect a path from little red riding hood to grandma's house. The puzzle comes with two sets of levels so you can play with or without the wolf. The puzzle components are very sturdy and should essentially last forever. The little red riding hood, tree, and wolf pieces are made of a kind of plastic that feels almost rubber like, it seems ridiculous to write this but they feel nice to hold and move around the board and such. Everything is fun to play with.Kids 4 and up will really love this puzzle as long as they have someone a little bit older to explain it to them first. If Little Red Riding Hood had been available when I was a counselor at day camp it would have definitely been a hit with my four, five, and six year old campers on the dreaded rainy days. These days I teach math and will put this puzzle in my classroom for kids to analyze and expand upon. Challenge-wise if you are reading this you would probably find the puzzle incredibly easy to do. But, if you cover up the flowers that indicate which puzzle pieces to use on any given level you can make the puzzle challenging enough that the levels are pretty fun to solve. The puzzle kept my attention enough that I worked through all 48 challenges in about an hour. In contrast, Anaconda is a similar (although much less elaborate) snake themed path making puzzle by the same designer Raf Peeters. Anaconda is much much tougher than Little Red Riding Hood picking up where Little Red Riding Hood ends and ramping up quickly.Overall Little Red Riding Hood Deluxe exceeded my expectations as a follow up to Three Little Piggies and is highly recommended. Raf seems to really enjoy creating sequels to his puzzles so I am sure the next one is probably already well in the works. He's locked up the well known fairy tales with the big bad wolf so I wonder what's next. I would like to see the graphic novel for Hansel & Gretel although I can't picture how the puzzle would work.

The media could not be loaded. The game challenges to connect Red Riding Hood and the wolf to their respective destinations. The game's progressive difficulty levels ensure that it remains stimulating for growing minds, providing a sense of accomplishment as skills advance. I appreciate the versatility of being able to play with or without the wolf, allowing parents to tailor the gameplay to their child's comfort level and age. The single-solution design is brilliant, teaching young players problem-solving skills in a fun and interactive way. While it's a fantastic solo puzzle, the game also works well for group play, fostering collaboration and friendly competition. The thematic elements align with the classic fairy tale, adding an extra layer of enjoyment for players familiar with the story. This game combines quality components, and a touch of nostalgia. It's an excellent choice for puzzle enthusiasts and families looking for a mentally stimulating and entertaining activity. My daughter is 4 years old and she loves it. The game also comes with a silent story book.
