I was never so happy to get rid of my old garlic presses – one that I’ve had for more years than I can remember and one that belonged to my mother-in-law that I inherited when she passed – and that one was really old. I hated using them. I don’t have a great deal of hand strength so they were a pain in the butt. And chopping up garlic just never appealed to me. So when I saw a cooking video on YouTube and saw this thing being used, I was very intrigued.I love that Amazon has almost everything you could ever imagine – I went right to Amazon and here it was. I was delighted. This new toy for my kitchen arrived to me in a few days. I love that it came with a garlic peeler. I did not know there was such a thing. But there is and it’s fun to use and easy. And this rocker that minces the garlic for you is so quick and easy as to not to be believed. This also came with a little scraper to scrape the garlic into whatever you’re cooking and off the surface of the mincer. It’s sturdy – and while it looks small when it comes to you, it actually is just the perfect size for hands, both male and female. My husband loves it as much as I do when he cooks. And since I got it, I cook with a lot more garlic – mainly because it’s so easy I want to use the mincer. Before- recipes that usually called for garlic I would ignore or use some garlic powder. Not any more!!! This item washes up beautifully in the dishwasher as does the peeler, the little scraper tool, and the press. You cannot ask for better than that!!

09-08-2025I found this garlic press too dull to cut the garlic effectively. It mostly smashed the garlic and I had to try multiple times to get the garlic to mince. It involved great effort for little benefit.
