09-08-2025This tool makes avocado slicing easy and quick. I bought one of these again recently after the previous one of the same model had worn out after many years of use. One of the pieces on the slicing side broke and the plastic was becoming discolored black despite cleaning thoroughly every time. But like I said, it had been used frequently for many years. I'm actually pretty surprised it held up that long. It was a no-brainer to toss it and get a new one because it works so well. I like specialized kitchen tools, but too many of them can take up too much space in the drawers and cabinets. This one is easily worth the space for my frequent avocado habit.

09-08-2025Got this for the hubby who is on an avocado kick, and he loves it. I'd have to agree because it means a lot less mess in the kitchen every time he wants avocado. The 'knife' end works well to cut open the avocado skin without bruising the flesh. The seed remover is simple and quick to use, and much safer than using a sharp knife to whack at the seed and try to pry/pull it out. The slicer end gives nice, even pieces of avocado. I like it because it saves time when dicing it up. The tool is easy to clean. Because it is plastic, I either hand wash or put on the top rack of the dishwasher so it doesn't warp or crack from the heat.This tool also works great for those with trouble gripping due to arthritis, hand pain, shaky hands, or small hands (like kids). It's easier and safer to handle than a small knife. My young nephew loves eating plain avocado halves, and he is able to use this on his own. We don't have to worry about him trying to grab an avocado for a snack and cutting himself accidentally. The little metal points on the seed grabber are sharp, but he's been taught to not touch and avoid those. He really doesn't even come near them at all when using this tool, but kids are kids and they are curious. Well worth it just for the safety factor.

09-08-2025I have had a few close calls almost cutting myself with a knife trying to remove avocado pits or accidentally poking through the skin while trying to slice. The plastic cutting tool and rounded slicer as well as the pitting tool that doesn't allow you to slip a blade and cut yourself, makes me a lot more confident and efficient when preparing avocados. I'm always in a rush to get food ready and now I can be in a rush without fear I'm going to lose a finger! I like that it can go in the dishwasher. I would have bought something just for removing the pit because that was the hardest part for me, but this is basically three tools in one so its compact if I wanted to take it camping or something. Its pretty intuitive and easy to use!
