08-08-2025I needed a better soldering iron for a circuit board repair and ended up selecting this unit on Amazon. Priced at around $10, I figured it was worth the gamble.What amazed me is that although it is slim, it features an adjustable temperature selection for the tip, which makes this unit a very handy item. Along with the iron, the kit includes 6 different tips, a supply of flux and solder, an iron holder and sponge.Does it work well? Flawlessly for my project.If you need something inexpensive, with all that is needed to complete a few repairs, this is the ticket!

08-08-2025Works great, comes with a little sponge to keep your tips clean. However I did have problems with some of the different tips being too small and just falling off. I also had issues with the provided solder: there isn’t enough of a flux core. Soldering took too long, and as such I had even ruined a potentiometer due to having to keep resoldering the same wires. However, the solder itself works wonderfully. It heats quickly, and when unattended it will turn itself off. It feels pretty durable when I am using it too.
